Philippians 3:12

I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.

Paul tells everyone how he realizes he is not perfect. Though he continues to try to be perfect in the eyes of God, he was not perfect, his life was still a work in progress. So many people today think of the Apostle Paul and think what a great man of God he was. Yes, Paul was a Mighty Man of God. But, he was not perfect and continued all the days of his life to work to please the Lord. Paul knew his perfection came only through Lord Jesus and even then, that would not have truly been obtained until he arrived in heaven. He admitted to being a sinner and told those he met not to be thinking Paul had achieved perfection in his life. We all can follow Paul's lead. We must realize, though our sins have been washed white as snow, we are not perfect. Even though we have received Jesus into our hearts and lives we will still make mistakes. Yes, we have been made clean and pure in the eyes of the Lord by Jesus' death on the cross and His resurrection. However, we all must "press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed ALL OF US!" Strive everyday to become one with the Lord, surrender your life to Him, and to please Him. Someday, those that have received Jesus into their hearts and lives will stand before the Lord and praise the Lord for His mighty forgiveness and for making us perfect in Him.

Lord, through the blessing of the death and resurrection of Lord Jesus, I have been washed clean of my sins. I can now spend eternity with You, Lord, in heaven. But, I know I am not perfect and need Your presence in my life everyday. Please, help me to be a good child of Yours, Lord, and bless those around me everyday. In Jesus name, amen!!

Prayer Requests!!!

Pray for all people in high social standing that are Christian and abused and criticized by others in their social communities. Help them to stay strong, to speak out their love and devotion to the Lord, and pray that those rejecting Lord Jesus will hear their words and come to Jesus themselves.
