Philippians 1:18
What does it matter? Only that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is proclaimed, and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice
The Apostle Paul was in chains in prison for preaching Lord Jesus Christ. While in prison Paul was getting word that there were people preaching Lord Jesus to the people with bad motives. They were not doing so from the love of Lord Jesus. They were preaching Lord Jesus to get Paul in more trouble. But Paul was not upset at all. In fact, he was very happy. He said it does not matter the motives one has for preaching Lord Jesus death and resurrection, as long as Jesus was being preached. As long as the people were hearing the salvation message. You have the very same thing today. Some people will preach Lord Jesus as a way of earning their way to heaven. Some may view each soul reached as the notch on their spiritual gun belt. But it does not matter why people are presenting the salvation message of Lord Jesus to the world. The people cannot come to Jesus if they are not presented with the Gospel. Lord, Thank you that Your salvation message is being preached. Without Your death on the cross and rising from the dead, there would be no way to live with You forever in heaven. I am thankful that, no matter the motive, Your Name is proclaimed and I rejoice as more people’s names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life to live with You forever as they receive Your truth that is proclaimed. Thank You Jesus! I will rejoice! In Jesus name, Amen!! Prayer Requests! Please pray for FCFI to be opened to many more venues and for workers to spread the Gospel in many places.
